Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect your privacy as a user (“you”, “your”, “user(s)”) when you visit this website and any of our other websites, mobile or digital applications, or any other services we offer from time to time by or in connection therewith that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy describes what types of information we gather and track when you use our Platform, how this information is used and with whom it is shared. This Platform is owned and operated by BetterLife Horizons Private Limited, a company registered under Indian laws and having an office at 18th floor, Building No. 5, Tower A, DLF Cyber City, DLF Phase 3, Gurgaon HR - 122002, India (“Betterlife”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

Your consent

By accessing or using this Platform including downloading the mobile application, purchasing products or services via the Platform you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise required by, or permitted under, applicable law.


Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers personally identifiable information (“personal information”) that we gather when you are accessing or using our Platform. This policy does not deal with the policies or practices of companies that we do not own or control or to individuals that we do not employ.

Personal information is information that typically identifies, relates to, describes or is reasonably capable of being associated with you personally, either alone or in combination with other information available to us. Examples of Personal Information include your name, contact details, information you provide when you create an account or a personal profile on one of our Platform.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the products or services like personalising fitness/ nutrition plans, delivering products, providing feedback on activities on the Platform, etc. If you are under the age of 18, please do not attempt to register for the products or services, including fitness/nutrition plans or send any information about yourself to us. No one under age of 18 may provide any personal information to us without parental consent.

As a business service, we neither knowingly collect or store nor use any personal data of any individuals under the age of 18. We do not target our services towards individuals under the age of 18. Individuals under the age of 18 should seek the consent of their parents before providing any information about themselves, their parents, or other family members on our Platform. You must ensure you have your legal guardian’s permission to use the Platform and we may request for written permission in such case. If you are a parent or legal guardian and allow your child to use the Platform, you will be responsible for your child’s activities on the Platform and the Terms of Use and this Privacy policy will apply to you.

Information that is collected through our Platform

We collect personal information you knowingly provide to us when you use our Platform.

On sign up: If you sign up to create a user profile on our Platform, we collect your name, age, gender, email address and any related information you provide. You may choose to provide us with additional information such as information to make payment, physical and mental health condition, health data and information, location data, nutrition data, dietary and lifestyle information, information related to height, weight and body measurements, passwords, workout related data, or health-related information and insights for our services and products that you provide to us.

While using our Platform: While browsing our website, downloading and using our mobile applications, we may also collect mobile device information (including device and application identifiers), the referring web page, pages visited, IP address, location (depending on the permissions you have granted to us). We do not store payment information but we may store your shipping address to fulfil your order.

Interaction with our coaches, nutritionist or medical practitioners: If you have opted for a plan which includes interaction with our coaches, nutritionists or medical practitioners, we may collect information from you about your physical and mental health condition, glucose monitoring, blood reports, health and medical data and information, location data, nutrition data, dietary and lifestyle information, information related to height, weight and body measurements, log in id and passwords, workout related data, or health-related information and insights for our services and products that you provide to us so that the session can be productive and benefit your journey to fitness. We gather information from medical practitioners you have had a teleconsultation with on our Platform, with confirmation that they have legal grounds to share that information with us. This is either information you have provided to them directly or information they have gathered about you from your User Account to which you have consented to by virtue of agreeing to this Privacy Policy.

Third- party sources: From time to time, we may supplement the information you give us with information from our business partners, social media, or other sources. For example, we may obtain additional information that you have provided while using one of our partner products or digital apps. Data such as food preferences, workout history, sleep data, health data may be collected. We collect and maintain your activity information to determine the activities performed and monitor the daily patterns that may affect your fitness.

Anonymization of data: We may anonymize your personal information so that you cannot be individually identified, and provide that information to our partners.

Cookies: Whenever you interact with our Platform, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, 'cookie' information, and the page you requested.

An “IP address” is a unique number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you connect to the Internet. It is used to identify your computer’s “location” in cyberspace, so that the information you request can be delivered to you.

“Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your computer or mobile device that allow us to recognize your browser or mobile device and tell us how and when pages in our Platform are visited and by how many people. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or mobile device to prevent or limit your computer or device's acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of our Platform's best features. Please note it may be possible to disable some (but not all) cookies through your device or browser settings, but doing so may interfere with certain functionality on the Services.

When we collect usage information on the Platform, we only use this data in aggregate form, and not in a manner that would identify you personally.

Use of our products: If you are using our products, you understand and acknowledge that, any information, data or readings from the devices/product, or collected from your use thereof, will be automatically uploaded to your user account with us. To the extent these automatically collected readings can be used to personally identify you, these readings are personal information for the purposes of this privacy policy.

In some circumstances, we give you choices about the ways we collect, use and disclose your personal information. If so, we may ask you to indicate your choices at the time we collect your personal information. If you have created an account or a personal profile on one of our Platform, you may be able to update some or all of your privacy choices by changing the settings on your account settings or profile page at any time.

Such information collected from you as set-out above constitutes ‘personal information’ or ‘sensitive personal data or information’ (“SPDI”) in terms of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 (“SPDI Rules”) and constitutes “digital personal data” in terms of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Information collected through use of our devices or services

If you are using one of our products or devices, Your device may collect the following activity data such as activities performed, calories burnt, daily patterns, sleep data such as sleep schedule, sleep duration, sleep habits and areas for improving your sleep, heart rate data blood glucose levels, blood reports uploaded by you and so forth. If you are our customer, we may supplement the information you provide online on our Platform with information you provide through one of our products. When your device syncs with our applications or software, data recorded on your device is transferred from your device to our servers.

We may also use your information to make inferences and show you more relevant content. For example information like your height, weight, gender, and age allows us to improve the accuracy of your daily exercise and activity statistics like the number of calories you burned and the distance you travelled. Based on your sleep data such as sleeping patterns we provide you with customized insights to help you improve your sleep. We may personalize activity goals for you based on the goals you previously set and your historical exercise or activity data.

As part of our services it may also include collection of precise geolocation data, including GPS signals, device sensors, Wi-Fi access points, and cell tower IDs. We collect this type of data if you grant us access to your location. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the GPS or other location-tracking functions on your device.

Purpose and use

We, our affiliates and/or the sellers or service providers on the Platform may access and use your personal information and SPDI for the following purposes:

  1. To provide the products and services on the Platform including optimizing, or further developing/improving operation of the app or for providing better user experience;
  2. To provide you with effective customer service;
  3. Contact you with information and notices related to our Platform;
  4. Understand your needs, interests and preferences;
  5. To contact you for future collaborations with third party service providers;
  6. General business and operating purposes, such as the administration, management and operation of the business, including client/user interaction, responding to requests, customizing and improving our services;
  7. For payment, billing and invoicing related purposes;
  8. To generate aggregated data to prepare insights (not being SPDI) to enable us to understand patterns and trends with a view to learn more about your preferences or other characteristics;
  9. Compliance with our obligations under applicable laws and other regulations, including to protect against and prevent fraud and other legal or information security risks;
  10. To improve the products and services;
  11. To participate in surveys and provide feedback to us.

How we share your personal information

We share your personal information in personally identifiable form with third parties only as described below.

  1. Service providers: We employ other companies and people including but not limited to consultants such as nutritionists, coaches, medical practitioners to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you.
  2. User submissions: Any content or personal information that you voluntarily disclose online in a manner other users can view (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, etc.) becomes publicly available, and can be collected and used by others.
  3. Business transfers: We may decide, for strategic or other reasons, to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize one or more of its businesses. A transaction of this type may involve the disclosure of Personal Information to prospective purchasers. Your Personal Information may be transferred to a company that has acquired the stock or assets or one of our business units, for example, as the result of a sale, merger, reorganization or liquidation.
  4. Affiliated businesses and third-party websites we do not control: In certain situations, businesses or third-party websites we're affiliated with may sell items or provide services to you through the Platform (either alone or jointly with us). We will share your personal information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is related to such a transaction or service.
  5. Protection of our rights and others: We may release personal information which we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with law enforcement or applicable laws; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Betterlife, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
  6. We may offer certain programs (such as loyalty programs), benefits and offers provided by our affiliates, partners or third parties, which are complementary to our products or services.

We reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information as described in any click-through agreement to which you have agreed on one of our Platform. We also reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information as described in any Privacy Notice posted on the Platform where you provide that information. By providing your Personal Information on that Platform you will be consenting to the disclosure of your Personal Information as described in that Privacy Notice. You may withdraw your consent at any time in the manner mentioned in this policy.

Transfer of personal information outside India

We maintain information in India and in accordance with the laws of India, which may not provide the same level of protection as the laws in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform and providing us with information, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction and, to the extent you are a resident of a country other than India, that you consent to the transfer of such data to India for processing by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Subject to applicable law, we may at our sole discretion,to the extent necessary, transfer personal information and/or SPDI to any other body corporate (as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act that ensures at least the same level of data protection as is provided by us under the terms hereof, located in India or any other country.

By using the Platform, services and products, you accept the terms hereof and hereby consent to the storage and processing of personal information and SPDI by third parties and in any location within or outside India. We will make best efforts to ensure that the third party or the location to which the SPDI is transferred affords same level of data protection as would be afforded under Indian law.



Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to ensure that you prevent unauthorized access to your account and personal information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately, including in case of using any social logins such as google or facebook accounts as well as any logins based on OTP authentication. You must ensure the safety of your accounts and devices and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

Your data may be anonymized, de-identified and/or aggregated, and the resulting data may be held by us, our affiliates, service providers and sellers on the Platform, associates, agents, representatives, and other authorized third parties, for as long as necessary for us to provide the services effectively or for other purposes.

We endeavour to protect the privacy of your account and other personal information we hold in our records, but we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites, mobile applications and/or similar platforms. When following a link to another such site you should read that site's privacy policy.

Any transmission of information by you to our Platform or otherwise is at your own risk. We assume no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond our control. You play an important role in keeping your personal information secure.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our data collection and use practices, the features of our services, or advances in technology. Your continued use of the Platform, services and products following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute your consent and acceptance of those changes.

You can always opt not to disclose information to us, but keep in mind some information may be needed to register with us or to take advantage of some of our services / products. We may publish such published content on our Platform so long as you consent to it. You may request that such published content be taken down at any time and we shall remove such published content. For doing so, please write to us. However, we are not responsible for any actions taken by third-parties with respect to such published content.

We will retain your personal information for a reasonable period as necessary for the purpose or as long as the law requires.

Your use and dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, including limitation on damages, resolution of disputes and application of the laws of India.

Please provide us with details of your grievance or complaint and we will endeavor to resolve your complaint no later than 30 days from receipt of the complaint.

Marketing communications

By creating a user account on our Platform or subscribing to our services, you consent to receiving communications from us via email, SMS, push notifications, Whatsapp and other channels. We may send you marketing messages, promotional offers, and important service updates related to your account or subscription. You may opt out of our marketing emails by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link provided in the emails. However, we may still send you non-marketing emails about your accounts or any other transactions with you.

We may also use cross-device targeting to help identify our users and serve advertising.

To opt out of Twitter’s interest-based ads, you can follow their instructions posted on their website/app.

To opt out of Facebook’s interest based ads, you can follow their instructions posted on their website/app.

Cautionary Notice

We do not solicit confidential details like your OTP/CVV/PIN/Card Number/ Bank account details through any means and we do not call users/customers with offers, discounts on products and offering free gifts. Please be aware of any attempt by third parties using various techniques such as ‘phishing’ to contact, influence and defraud consumers. Please do not share any personal or payment sensitive information with unknown persons which may lead to unauthorized use and/or fraud and consequent financial loss. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense incurred by a customer where the customer has shared personal and/or payment sensitive information with scamsters/fraudsters. Please report any incidents to our Grievance officer to enable us to investigate and explore legal recourse.
