A popular Indian breakfast dish made with bread, onions, tomatoes, spices, and herbs, originating from South India, and prepared by sautéing the bread with the flavorful mixture.
Whole wheat bread

Mustard Oil
1.5 tbsp
Mustard Seeds
0.5 tsp
Cumin Seeds
0.5 tsp
Onion Raw

Green Chillies

Fresh Ginger

Curry Leaves
1 handful
Tomatoes
1 large
Turmeric
1.5 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder
0.125 tsp

Coriander Leaves
0.5 Tbsp

Prep
Chop bread slices into cubes.
Finely chop onions, green chili, ginger, and tomatoes.
Chop curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Cooking
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, and cumin seeds (jeera).
Sauté onions until translucent, then add green chilies, ginger, and curry leaves.
Add tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften.
Add bread cubes and sauté for 4-5 minutes until slightly crisp.
Mix in chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot, optionally drizzled with lemon juice.
